Cut-resistant gloves are a type of metal or steel wire gloves made by weaving countless small rings together. Its function is to protect hands from being cut during the operation of cutting machinery.
Cut-resistant gloves can be divided into three-finger and five-finger types.
It is mainly applied in meat processing enterprises and individuals, large restaurants and hotels, chain supermarkets, etc. When personnel operating the equipment wear this glove, it can protect their hands and wrists, allowing them to operate the equipment safely and with peace of mind, and improving processing efficiency.
Qualified steel wire gloves should have the following characteristics:
1. High-quality stainless steel material, nylon;
2. It has excellent anti-wear, anti-cut and anti-puncture protection, is comfortable to wear and easy to clean.
3. A single glove can be used interchangeably with both hands by adjusting the strap.
4. Safe and hygienic, easy to clean;
5. The protection grade reaches level 5.
6. There are two options for the cuffs: Velcro or buttons, which are easy to remove.
Cleaning method
1. Wash the gloves with soapy water (50 degrees Celsius) or hot water mixed with detergent (50 degrees Celsius) at least once a day.
2. Wash the gloves and store them in a cool and well-ventilated place.
3. Do not clean steel wire gloves by hitting them with hard objects.
4. When in use, try to avoid sharp objects from touching the surface of the gloves.
Purchase and Usage precautions
When choosing anti-cut hand-cut measures as a risk prevention measure, in addition to considering the materials, uses and prices, the opinions of employees should also be taken into account, allowing them to participate in the selection of models and styles. It is worth noting that users must be aware of the restrictions on glove use and proper care, which can all be found on the glove's user manual or label. For instance, cut-resistant gloves are not cut-resistant and are only suitable for manually operated knives. Knitted fiber gloves cannot resist sawtooth or wavy blades.
In daily life or when sanitation workers are repairing thorny flowers and plants, it is not advisable to use cut-resistant gloves. Because cut-resistant gloves are made of steel wires, there will be many dense small holes allowing spines to pass through. Cut-resistant gloves are designed for people's long-term industrial safety. During long-term use, gloves are frequently in contact with sharp objects, and small holes are inevitable. If the holes in the gloves are too large, they may threaten the safety of the user. At this point, the gloves need to be repaired or replaced.
